皆さんこんにちは！いきなりなんのこっちゃいってタイトル見て思ったと思います(笑)
群馬県に住んでいる方なら上毛かるたの太田金山子育て呑龍という言葉知っている方多いと思います。
呑龍というのはお坊さんのことです。
そして長々しいタイトルに着けたのはそのお寺の名前です。
基本は[大光院]だけ覚えておけば大丈夫です。
行ってみると大きなお寺でした。ヒァー・ウィー・ゴー！！
大光院行ってみた。
雷電神社の帰り道。このまま帰るのはイヤだ！つまらん！というわけで太田市を通りながら思いました。
太田市といえばSUBARU？スネークセンター？いや呑龍様？
SUBARUの工場見学はやってないし、スネークセンターは蛇ばかりだからなぁ、、、ワタシ蛇そこまで好きじゃないし、、、
よし！太田といえば呑龍様や！！てなわけで呑龍様へ。
駐車場に車を停めて、いざお参り！
正面に見えるのは本堂です。
手水舎
手水舎で手を清めて、散策しましょうか。
上を見ると。ん？なんか書いてありますね。
ん〜要はこの水で清めるとご利益あるよ的なことでしょうね。
開山堂
手水舎から左側に曲がると、ウルトラ大きな建物が！こちらの建物は開山堂と言われています。基本こちらで、参拝やらお守りやら御朱印やらを受け付けてくれます。
こちらが本堂なんじゃないかって思うくらいです(笑)それだけ大きくて立派な建物なのです。写真だと伝わりにくいのが難点！
本堂
こちらが本堂。よく見ると七福神とありますが、こちらは弁天堂というのがあるのですが時間の都合で割愛させていただきますすみません(泣)
臥龍松
隣にはウルトラ立派な松が植えられています。推定樹齢は700年と言われています。大きいのでさすがに支えをしっかりしないとですね。
ウルトラ長いですね！！
名前は臥龍松と言われています。まるで龍が地に伏せているように見えることからですね。
名前は伊達ではなく、本当に龍のような迫力です！
大光院吉祥門
大光院の正面玄関的な場所です。出来たのは1615年。大坂夏の陣の年ですね。大阪城落城の日に上棟されたから吉祥門と名付けられたそうです。瓦には三つ葉葵の紋が使用されています。
子育て呑龍とは？
昔むかし、戦国時代の後期ごろ呑龍様というお坊さんがおりました。
今では信じられませんが、乱世において人々の生活の困窮しておりました。その中で捨て子や間引き、子殺し等が起きていました。
呑龍様はそれは良くないことだと説いて回りましたが、効果は上がりませんでした。
そこで呑龍様は捨て子や貧しい人々の子供を弟子として引き取り7歳になるまで寺で養育しました。
このことから子育て呑龍と呼ばれるようになりました。
とても優しい和尚さんだったのですね。わたしもあやかってそんな優しい気持ちを持った人間になりたいと思いました。
その呑龍様の教えがこの地には息づいているのでしょう。
